Clorpres is a medicine to decrease blood pressure by reducing some chemical levels in the blood.
This causes relaxation of blood vessels and normalizes the heart beat.
Clorpres refers to thiazide diuretics. It prevents excess salt absorption.
It may treat fluid retention in patients having liver cirrosis, kidney disorders, congestive heart failure. The medicine is effective for high blood pressure.

Notify the physician if you have asthma, diabetes, gout, lupus, liver/kidney disease or have allergy to sulfa drugs.
Do not drink alcohol while using this medicine. It should not be discontinued prior to contacting the physician. Sudden stop may be the cause of anxiety, nervousness, high blood pressure, some life-threatening symptoms. You have to decrease the doze gradually.
Avoid being dehydrated or overheated.
Notify the physician if you use other medicines, including allergy medicine, muscle relaxers, narcotic medicines, sleeping pills, medicines to treat anxiety, depression, seizures.
The medicine may impair reactions or thinking.
You may need to take blood pressure medicines constantly.
