It should not be used with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, It may cause suicidal thoughts when using antidepressants for the first time.

Contact the physician in case of serious side effects, including rigid muscles, fever, headache, irregular heartbeat, sweating, overactive reflexes, tremors, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, appetite loss, balance problems, concentration and memory problems, confusion, weakness, fainting, hallucinations, seizure, shallow breathing.

You may also experience less serious side effects like drowsiness, mild nausea, upset stomach, gases, weight changes, increased urination, impotence, low sex drive, problems with orgasm, insomnia, yawning, dry/watery mouth, cold symptoms.
